APARTMENTS
In our two-storey house we have created one apartment per floor. Our apartments can be rented separately, but for bigger families, more generation or larger companies the whole house is available.

GROUND FLOOR
Our ground floor apartment has 2 bedrooms, a spacious living room, kitchen, and a bathroom with shower. It can comfortably accommodate 4 people, but we provide extra beds for 2 children under age of 14. Thanks to the large dining room and terrace, the whole family, or a larger group can sit down comfortably for a friendly dinner or conversation.
In the kitchen you will find everything you need for cooking, and the dishwasher will take care of the dirty dishes for you.
In the summer heat, the shutters on the windows and the air conditioning cools you down inside. If you are in the mood, stay indoors, sit back on the couch and watch a good movie.
If you come in winter, drink your wine on the sofa, while the fire in the fireplace warms you up

In the upstairs apartment there are 2 bedrooms to comfortably accommodate 4 (together with children under 14 years 6) people.
From the shower you have a perfect view of the Badacsony Hill, and the friendly, fully equipped kitchen almost calls for a cosy dinner.
Thanks to the air conditioning, you won't be hot despite the attic location. And if you want a little privacy, you can hide in the reading corner that opens from the living room.
Have breakfast on the terrace while admiring the colors of Lake Balaton.

Cook, like at home
In our kitchens you will find everything you need: dishes, bowls, wooden spoons, plates, wine glasses, etc. An electric oven and hob, a microwave and a dishwasher are also provided.
With our capsule coffee makers you can easily make your morning coffee.
Relax in the garden
We love the outdoors, cooking and grilling. That is why we have built a covered terrace where you can cook on open fire, grill, eat, drink and talk protected from the sun and rain. You don't even have to bring a cauldron, we lend you our own :)
And if someone still misses the lake, we recommend our little garden pond with a cozy waterfall and beautiful goldfish.
Playground
While parents are having a barbecue, children can swing, slide or sand in the sandpit of more than 30 m2. However, only the bravest can climb the castle on the climbing wall! Gallery >>
Never too warm or cold
Thanks to the hidden wall heating, you won't be cold even in cooler weather, and the air conditioning on both levels guarantees you cool indoor air on a hot summer day.
Child friendly house
Let us know if you are arriving with a small child and we will provide you cot, high chair, baby bath. You will also find children's tableware in the kitchen.
In addition, the sandpit awaits the little ones with toys.
Bicycle storage
You can park your bike safely in the garage. We have even prepared some maintenance tools for you! If you have anything you don't want to store in the apartment, feel free to leave it here too, there is plenty of space :)
We care
Our apartments are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before you arrive. Don’t worry if you forgot to bring your shower gel, we prepared it for you.
Most importantly these days: if you rent the whole house, you don't have to share it with anyone else. Also, we make sure, that your check-in will be at least 24 hours after the previous check-out.

Wine, terraces and our favourite places
Luckily, there is no shortage of great wine and great places around Badacsony. Below, we have collected some of our personal favourites – places we visit regularly and are always happy to recommend to our guests, whether you are looking for a glass of wine, a leisurely dinner, excellent coffee or simply a lovely terrace to relax on.
Our top recommendations
Start close to home, just a 5-minute walk away. Domaine Edegger offers organic Badacsony wines, a wine shop and a welcoming terrace. The winery is particularly special to us, as the welcome wine you find at Bed & Badacsony comes from Edegger and carries our own label. If you enjoyed the bottle waiting for you in the fridge, it is well worth stopping by to discover more of their wines.
If what matters most to you is what arrives on your plate and in your glass, Nefelejcs Wine Bistro – Sike Balázs Winery is, in our opinion, one of the best places in the entire Badacsony area. Creative, refined food made with excellent ingredients, paired with wines from Sike Balázs and SKIZO. It is not just a summer favourite either – we come back throughout the year.
Opened in summer 2025, MÁMOR Bar and More is one of the best recent additions to Badacsony, located in the new wine and food hub around 3 Fenyő. Excellent Neapolitan-style pizza, a good wine selection, cocktails, specialty coffee, delicious cakes and genuinely friendly staff make it very easy to love.
Villa Sandahl has been one of our favourites for years. If you enjoy Riesling, do not miss it. The winery focuses exclusively on this single grape variety, while the beautiful views over Lake Balaton are an added bonus.
For anyone with a sweet tooth, La Téne Dessert Workshop & Café is a must, with beautiful desserts, croissants, ice cream and excellent coffee – and it is open all year round.
Pátzay Wine Estate is also well worth a visit, whether you would like to taste a few wines, explore the winery and cellar, or simply choose a few favourite bottles to take home.
A few more Badacsony favourites
If you would like to taste wines from several local wineries in one place, Pláne Badacsony is a great choice, with a carefully selected range from both smaller and larger producers.
Hinta Badacsony is a relaxed and friendly spot serving local wines, sparkling wine, cocktails, specialty coffee and bistro-style food. If you are looking for a livelier evening with music, head to FrissTerasz, where concerts, DJs and other events are regular features during the main season.
If you feel like going a little further
The Szent György Hill is easily worth a whole afternoon of its own. It has a different atmosphere from Badacsony, with volcanic vineyards, old press houses, smaller wineries and beautiful views around almost every bend.
Szászi Estate is one of the reliable favourites here, combining organic wines with the excellent Viridárium restaurant. For those who are especially interested in wine, we also recommend 2HA Vineyard and Winery, known for characterful wines and an unusually strong red-wine selection for the region. It is best to arrange a tasting in advance. Gilvesy is another of the hill’s defining wineries, and their b-üzem in nearby Nemesgulács is also worth a stop for their wines and a more relaxed experience.
If you are heading towards Szigliget, the castle is a great programme in itself, and for us it is almost impossible to visit without stopping for an ice cream at Szigligeti Fagylaltozó. For a more special dinner, Villa Kabala is one of the outstanding gastronomic destinations in the area. Booking a table in advance is highly recommended.
Towards Badacsonyörs, Folly Arboretum and Winery is also well worth the detour. An arboretum, panoramic views of Lake Balaton, estate wines and a restaurant all in one place make it a great programme, especially with children.
On foot, by bike or by taxi?
Several of our nearby favourites can be reached on foot within about 30 minutes from Bed & Badacsony, so you do not necessarily need a car for dinner or a wine tasting.
If you are heading further afield, or simply want to enjoy the wines without worrying about driving, we recommend using one of the local taxi services, such as Badacsony Taxi or one of the Hegyi taxis.
Opening hours in the area can vary by season, so it is always worth checking the latest information before setting off.
HERCZEG FERENC BEACH IN BADACSONYLÁBDIHEGY
Its main advantage is that it is a 10 minute walk from the house. But beyond that it is a very nicely maintained, clean, quiet beach. Due to its slowly deepening coast, it is ideal for families with small children. You will always find free place there even in high season, and if you want, you can visit the water nature trail with a rented kayak or canoe.
Tip: It's free after 6pm, and kids will love the playground there.
KESZTHELY
Keszthely is the largest city on Lake Balaton and one of the most important cultural and economic centers of the region. Plenty of sights offer enough programs for a whole weekend, but Keszthely is also a perfect destination for a day trip. Festetics Castle is definitely worth a visit, but we also strongly recommend Helikon Park and Festetics Zoo.
BADACSONY HILL
The apartment house is the perfect starting point for a smaller or larger hike, but sportsmen can even run around the mountain. The Ranolder Cross can be reached with children in an hour and a half through the Bujdosók Lépcsője (stairs of the outcast) .
Other sights on the hill: Kisfaludy lookout tower, Szegedi Róza house, Rózsakő, Kőkapu, Klastromkút , Chapel of II. John Paul .
It is worth walking back through Badacsony, so you can stop by at one of the wine bars for a drink :)
SZIGLIGET CASTLE
Doesn't matter, from which direction we approach Szigliget, we can surely take a good look at the more than 750-years-old castle.
From the house it can also be the destination of an easy cycling trip, and you can reach the foot of the castle by car in 5 minutes. It presents the medieval castle life very spectacularly.
Tip: Don't miss the handcrafted ice cream at the bottom of the castle!
SZENT GYÖRGY HILL
St. George's Hill is 5 minutes by car and 20 minutes by bike. It is the third highest witness mountain with 414 meters. Its sights include the old Raposka mine , the 30-40 meter high basalt organs , an ice cave and the Polish Chapel. Don't miss the lovely terraces and excellent wine bars . You will not be disappointed!
